Talent is Social (HR Edition)

As with the Marketing profession, the practice of Human Resources has been hugely impacted by social channels. Recruiters and HR managers drown in resumes and emails while avoiding job boards, and seek the perfect candidate via search. Websites like Glassdoor.com allow employees to anonymously publish salaries and insider information. There’s the enormous task of researching the social media footprints of short-list candidates. And once a candidate is hired, their social media activity must be monitored and governed.

In this presentation, social media strategist Eric Weaver and senior executive recruiter Kurt Weyerhauser will provide examples of what corporations and governmental bodies are doing to source, acquire, manage and keep talent via social media.

OPTIONAL SOLO PRESENTATION: Conferences or companies seeking to minimize costs can hire Eric as a solo presenter. However, we recommend both Eric and Kurt for this talk, which leverage Kurt’s long expertise in acquiring and keeping talent.
